Betsy Kellum is a national and international award-winning artist; having exhibited in New York with the Allied Artist's of America, , American Artist's Professional League, Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club (Signature Member) and the Pastel Society of America, (Signature Member) and in California with the Pastel Society of the West Coast (Signature and "Distin- guished Pastelist" member); in Atlanta with the Southeastern Pastel Society and numerous other exhibitions in Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, Virginia and New Mexico. She was selected by ArtNetwork to be featured in The Encyclopedia of Living Artists, published and released in January 1997; and is included in the National Slide Lecture of Madlyn-Ann C. Woolwich, nationally known Pastel Artist/Teacher/Author. Her work has been featured in articles in The Pastel Journal, a national art publication. She was recently invited for inclusion in Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women, 2000/2001.

Kellum is represented by The Little Gallery in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia (540) 721-1596, is a juried member of the Crossroads Art Center in Richmond, Virginia She is a juried member of the web site: Artshow.com Working in pastel and oil, Kellum paints in a representational style utilizing rich color and dramatic value contrast. Still life, landscape, figurative and animal portraits are the subject matter for most of her work. "As life seems to get more complicated and stressful, I like to search for the beauty and serenity found in our world and present that in my art. My goal is to share that feeling with my viewers." Kellum graduated from the College of William & Mary with a BA in Education and later studied art at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia.
